Drinking plenty of water benefits us in
some very important ways. First, water sustains life. Second, it fights
the formation of gallstones and kidney stones. Third, it helps cleanse
and purify body. As it circulates through the body, water not on y brings
in nutrients and carries away waste materials, but also rids the body
of carcinogenic dioxins, environmental hormones and other harmful substances.
The kidneys and the urinary bladder serve as the conduit for water that
removes these waste materials and harmful compounds if carcinogens accumulate
at the same spot in the body, they can invade the cells and cause cancer.
Water washes away these cancer-causing compounds, thus reducing the risk
of cancer. Cigarette smoking increases the incidence of bladder cancer,
but it is known that drinking plenty of water an diuretics such as black
tea, green tea, and coffee also reduce the risk of bladder cancer.
Many people think that the way to lose weight is to cut down on the amount
of food and water they drink, and to engage in activities that make them
perspire. However limiting fluid intake not only has harmful health effects,
but can also lead to hardening of the arteries in the brain and the heart.
Water accounts for 60~7O% of our total body weight (the proportion differs
depending on age.) Sometimes we have to go to the toilet right after drinking
cold water, but the fact is that the water we drink does not go immediately
to the Kidneys and turn into urine. The fluid we ingest along with our
food is absorbed in the intestines along with a complex mixture of nutrients,
vitamins, and minerals. Water then circulates as part of the blood stream
to all parts of the body. Much of this it is filtered by the kidneys,
where it mixes with waste materials to form urinen. We lose about O.8
liters of water daily from evaporation and absorption of water from the
surface of our skin. When we perspire from physical activity, we lose
even more water. If we do not replace at least this much water, we can
become dehydrated. Just sweating a lot and drinking less water is no way
to diet. People do not gain weight from drinking plenty of water. We have
to have water in order to metabolize fat, this means that drinking water
will actually help us lose weight. Also, right after sports activity that
makes us sweat, if we drink water it will be absorbed quickly to give
us what we need. Tonized water, supplemented with trace elements. Will
help us recover from fatigue more quickly.
Unnoticed evaporation (fluid content lost to absorption and perspiration)
does not make people particularly thirsty. Replacing just 2O% of this
fluid loss is enough to quench our thirst. As a result, drinking only
until we are no longer thirsty often leaves us with not enough water in
our systems. Unnoticed, water evaporation is even more of a problem with
children, and parents need to pay close attention Thirst is also related
to the concentration of trace elements in the blood Stream.
| 1. |
Children do not always drink water just because they
have a water bottle with them. |
| 2. |
The end result of all this is dehydration sudden or
rapid onset of dehydration needs to be dealt with promptly. |
However, perspiration contains both water and trace elements, so the
trace element level in the blood does not necessarily change very much,
and this means we do not become very thirsty.
We lose even more water when we run our air conditioners.
If we want to be truly healthy, we should be drinking 3 liters of ionized
water everyday. Drinking plenty of water works to prevent inflammation,
dehydration, bladder cancer, and kidney cancer. It also protects the body
from dioxins and other harmful chemicals. Some people may not be able
to drink quite this much water. Still, just one cup of ionized water before
going to bed and after rising in the morning will cleanse the blood stream
and help prevent hardening of the arteries in the brain and the heart.
Please be aware, though, that using soft drink beverages to replace fluids
may elevate sugar levels too much. If you cannot drink 3 liters of water
a day, then you should at least try to drink 2 liters. It will also help
you lose weight. Furthermore, it is inexpensive and safe. The Japan Environmental
Equipment Association has stated that one out of every four five-year-olds
is already a candidate for degenerative diseases in later life. We should
all be concerned about this.
Active Oxygen
Ordinary oxygen exists as a pair bond between two oxygen atoms, represented
in chemical symbols as O2 This pair bond is very stable, in contrast active
oxygen consists of single non-bonded oxygen atoms. In this state, oxygen
is very unstable, It Will easily bond with other substances creating oxidation.
The body itself produces active oxygen under a variety of conditions.
Among these conditions are coprostasis (long-term buildup of fecal matter
in the intestines) and malodorous stools. Solar ultraviolet radiation
also forms active oxygen when it strikes water molecules (H2O). Thus,
around 2-5% of the oxygen we ingest consists of active oxygen.
Active oxygen does have some beneficial effects, but it has many more
harmful effects the reason is that active oxygen is a toxin. The reason
why we get sunburned at the beach is because ultraviolet rays produce
active oxygen that damages the melanin in our skin. Frequent and severe
sunburn can lead to skin cancer.
When we hang out our heavy blankets to air in the sun, ultraviolet rays
strike the moisture content (not only liquid) in the blanket and produce
active oxygen. In turn, the active oxygen kills bacteria mold, ticks,
and fleas in the blanket. However, some active oxygen remains inside the
blanket, which is why there has long been a saying that you should not
sleep under a blanket while it is still warm from the sunlight.
Similarly, many normal activities produce active oxygen within the body,
including breathing, eating, and exercising. Smoking produces a lot of
active oxygen.
The active oxygen kills harmful bacteria, which is a good thing, however,
if there is top much active oxygen, it will attack normal cells and turn
them cancerous.
They attack the islets of Langerhans, insulin production will be disrupted,
causing diabetes.
Essentially, the body is rusting (aging) aging is actually a disease.
Furthermore, active oxygen attacks the DNA in cell nuclei. This causes
mutations in the three billion nucleotides present in human DNA. Recently
we have come to understand that this is the cause of a variety of human
illnesses and other maladies.
Because active oxygen has such powerful bonding capacity, it will bond
with, and oxidize, virtually anything.
Oxidation changes the chemical properties of very day substances.
We see this in the form of degradation in plastic, textiles, and dyes.
Active Hydrogen
Active hydrogen bonds with active oxygen to form harmless water molecules.
However, water that contains large amounts of active hydrogen is known
as ionized water.
As we saw with active oxygen, ordinary hydrogen consists of a pair bond
between two hydrogen atoms represented in chemical symbols as H2 in contrast
active oxygen consists of single a bonded hydrogen atoms. These single
hydrogen atoms have extremely powerful reducing, or anti-oxidizing, capabilities,
and they chemically reduce other substances. When active hydrogen comes
in contact with excess active oxygen in the body, it immediately bonds
with the active oxygen to form water. Thus, it removes active oxygen from
the body, and it does so harmlessly, and with no side effects. Active
hydrogen reacts strongly with a great many substances, but most especially
with oxygen. There are other materials besides ionized water that have
a "scavenger" effect to remove excess active oxygen. The most
prominent of these is super oxide dismutase, or (enzymes) SOD.
However, both the quantity and effectiveness of SCO in the body diminish
with age.
This means that we need to think about supplementing' it.
The ideal supplement is active hydrogen.
Note: Scavenger enzymes are enzymes that prevent active oxygen from bonding
with and oxidizing other substances.
PH
PH is a chemical index of acidity or alkalinity. It is the inverse ratio
of the hydrogen concentration in a liquid.
A pH of is completely neutral where as a pH of 7-10 is alkaline, while
a pH of 2-7 is acidic.
Human stomach acid has a pH of 1.8+/- O.O3, which means it is strongly
acidic.
This acid kills bacteria that enter the stomach from the mouth.
However, Illness still can occur if disease organisms enter the stomach
while acid levels are low.
Other animals have even stronger stomach acid than humans, strong enough
for them to ingest some harmful microbes without causing illness.
Clusters
Natural water molecules usually form into molecular clusters that are
not readily absorbed through the stomach wall. The clusters often number
in multiples of six. This is why when water freezes it forms hexagonal
snowflakes.
Insulin
The nutrients that we ingest from food is converted into glucose, this
serves as the body's energy source. Blood carries glucose through the
blood vessels to every part of the body. The hormone known as insulin
plays a critical role when glucose enters body cells from the blood. When
the body ceases making insulin, or its activity level decreases, glucose
continues to circulate in the blood stream without ever entering into
cells.
This is the condition we call diabetes. When the blood is too high in
sugar, while cells are malnourished Excess blood sugar is excreted through
the kidneys in urine, but this requires large quantities of fluid.
This is why with the initial onset of diabetes people drink large amounts
of water arid have to go to the toilet more often. Initially diabetics
are often unaware they are sick, which itself is a problem.
In addition, blood glucose tends to bond with proteins and accumulate
on the blood vessel walls, damaging those walls. As diabetes progresses,
blood glucose damages the fine capillaries in the retina and the kidneys,
while also harming cranial and coronary blood vessels.
Accordingly, it is important to protect the islets of Langerhans from
attack and assure the body's supply of insulin.
Oxidation-Reduction Potential (ORP)
Not all forms of ionized water are identical.
The oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) is an index of the potential for
bonding with activated oxygen, or, in other words, the reduction or anti
oxidation potential. Kangen water has a negative ORP, while acid water
has a positive ORP. To put it differently, a negative ORP indicates reducing
or anti-oxidant properties, while a positive ORP indicates acidic properties.
The greater the absolute value of the ORP, the greater the ability of
the substance to oxidize or reduce other substances.
All the types of water sold at convenience stores and supermarkets have
positive ORP values Kangen water, on the other hand, has a pH of 8-9.5
and an ORP of-250 to-40OmV. This is the type of water that offers health
benefits. "Potential" refers to the magnitude of energy to bring
about a chemical reaction.
